A large police operation took place early this morning targeting illegal immigrants in the Tetovo and Gostivar areas. 51 illegal immigrants were caught in the large scale action and are on their way to deportation.32 illegal immigrants were found in Tetovo and 19 were found in Gostivar. The immigrants are of Albanian nationality and will be deported back to Albania today.
The illegal immigrants are largely being employed in physical positions such as construction. The lat4est police action comes only a day after 4 citizens from Kosovo were found in Tetovo and another Albanians found in Gostivar and deported.
In the last 6 months the Tetovo police have caught 98 illegal immigrants which have since been deported.
